development began again

On May 6th, development of the school began again in earnestness. I got busy and forgot about blogging. A supporting wall has been built and work on the retaining wall is being done.

On May 20th, formalities of land registration were completed. About 4.5 nalis (1 nali equals 2048 square feet) was registered in my name. The main building comprisintlg of 8 rooms, 1 staff room, 1 headmaster's room, 1 lavatory complex is to be built on this piece of land.

Babaji and I along with two witnesses went to the registrar's office for that formality.

I had no idea that stone walls are so expensive. The supporting stone wall cost Rs. 100,000. The retaining wall is slated to cost about Rs. 300,000. It includes cost of quarrying the stone, cost of transporting the stone using mules, cost of stone masonry and labour. 

On June 10th, a junior engineer (JE) along with a draughtsman visited the school site. They took measurements and a preliminary design for the school is being developed.
