On candour, Gantt charts, and real goals

I intend to share my thoughts with as much honesty, sincerity, and integrity as is possible for me. I think expressing my emotional situation is about as important as sharing the actual progress of building a great school.

Some people have a good control over their emotions while others like me have to struggle through emotions to get anything done at all. In my case, emotions can range from a healthy optimism to a dark pessimism about my situation. Like last night, when because of a fever, I felt quite hopeless and helpless.

Fortunately, there was not much of a fever in the morning. I sunbathed for a long time and felt better towards the evening.

I took a quick look at how Gantt charts are made, again today. However, when I started thinking about this "project" I realized that my envisioned goals for the school cannot be captured in a single Gantt chart.

There are short term goals, such as developing some infrastructure for the school, admitting students, developing a funding channel. And there are long term goals, like providing really good infrastructure, really good teachers, and really good values to the students and a funding method that is impeccable, sustainable, secure, constant (like a post office monthly income scheme).

The ultimate goal is a "great school" and not just a school. After all, there are government schools everywhere. I am yet to find a single government school teacher whose kids go to a government school however.

So the Gantt chart continues to be a work in progress at this point in time.
